ENTERTAINER JOHN DAVIDSON WITH JACKIE DAVIDSON AND GARY BRANDT
Last night i shared the stage with an excellent retro folk act: 'Jackie and Gary'..."Singing The Good Old Songs Again".....Jackie reminds me of Mary Travers and Gary reminds me of Gordon Lightfoot.
They play the 5 string banjo, 12 string guitar, harmonIca, and the harmonies are wonderful!
Plus, the comedy in between songs moves things along nicely.
They got the crowd singing along to songs everyone seemed to know and some unknown comedy songs that really worked!
The crowd loved them!

TV PERSONALITY AND ENTERTAINER
"Gary Brandt and Jackie Davidson appeared at the City Auditorium in Concord, N.H. last night...as part of the 117 year old Walker Lecture Series. The varied program of folk songs, instrumentals, tales of past experiences, and some well placed jokes was enthusiastically received. Especially enjoyable was the clapping of hands, stomping of feet and the singing along as some very familiar tunes were performed. The smiles of satisfaction as the audience dispersed proved that the patrons really enjoyed the show."

"Jackie and Gary performed for my Independant Living Residents...They are both wonderful musicians...Gary is awesome on the 12 string guitar and his original songs are excellent. Jackie plays the banjo and sings the most beautiful song about the Civil War. Her harmonies are warm and rich....Thank you Gary and Jackie ....We look forward to having you back when you're in our neck of the woods again."

Herewith our review and people's reaction: THEY LOVED YOU!!
Your wonderful voices, your intermittent humor, your stage presence and interaction with the crowd, and playing their favorites was very appreciated...
You noticed that no one left early, that they all clamored around you with congratulations at the end...
Your continuous sing-a-long medley with the crowd was a 'grand' finale.

"I wanted to thank you both for putting on such a nice program in Charlotte......You have a charming nature in your program and it comes off as a real love of the great American folk music and its' history.....Your direct interaction with those seated in front of you is at once informative and yet humorous in a way that puts all at ease. This is something that many artists do not do particuarly well. I want you to know I enjoyed your program very much and particularly like the music you are drawn to and the way you relate to your concert goers. You both clearly love performing and should continue to do so.

"Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful feeling your show at Moultonborough Library gave me and my mom. So many great memories from my youth, came back during many of the songs you performed....no matter what kind of music we discovered, folk music has a certain special feel that is hard to match. Thank you for keeping the music and feeling alive for all of us who are lucky to be in your audiences! Oh yeah, 'Cooper' is beautiful!
